Core Beat Matching
Players watch for directional arrows that appear in sequence. The goal is to press the corresponding key on the keyboard at the exact moment each arrow aligns with a target zone. Success depends on timing and focus rather than speed or complexity. Each correct press adds to a score, while missed notes gradually reduce it. Missing too many in a row ends the session, encouraging players to stay attentive.
Song Selection & Style
Two custom tracks are included, each with its own rhythm and pattern structure. The music is upbeat and designed to be catchy without being overwhelming. Players can replay either song multiple times to improve their accuracy and learn the flow of arrows. The tracks are short enough to allow repeated attempts without fatigue.
Visual Design & Characters
The game uses a simple, cartoon-like art style with a stickman character as the opponent. This character appears in a green hoodie and blue pants, standing across from the player’s character. The background remains uncluttered so the arrow prompts stay clearly visible. No violent or inappropriate imagery appears anywhere in the game.
Controls & Accessibility
Only the keyboard is needed to play. Each arrow direction corresponds to a specific key, making the controls easy to learn. There are no complex combinations or rapid sequences that require advanced dexterity. This makes the game suitable for young children, older adults, and anyone who prefers straightforward input methods.
Practice & Progression
Repeating songs builds familiarity with the arrow patterns. Players naturally improve their reaction time and sense of rhythm through regular play. There is no penalty for restarting a song, so experimentation is encouraged. The score system provides a clear measure of improvement from one attempt to the next.
Community & Development
This project was created by a small team of developers and is available as an open-source release. The music and code were contributed by multiple individuals, reflecting a collaborative effort. Because it is open-source, players can examine how the game works or modify it if they have the technical skills.
